Lithium Grease
lubricating grease; A thick, oily semi-solid. Used for the friction part of machinery, providing lubrication and sealing functions. It is also used on metal surfaces to fill gaps and prevent rust. It is mainly composed of mineral oil (or synthetic lubricating oil) and thickening agent.

Product Description

According to thickeners, they can be divided into soap based grease and non soap based grease.

The thickening agent for soap based grease is commonly lithium, sodium, calcium, aluminum, zinc and other metal soaps,

as well as potassium, barium, lead, manganese and other metal soaps. Non soap based grease thickeners are made of graphite,

carbon black, asbestos, and synthetic materials such as polyurea based and bentonite. They can be divided into two types based

on their applications: general lubricating grease and special lubricating grease. The former is used for general mechanical parts,

while the latter is used for tractors, railway locomotives, marine machinery, petroleum drilling machinery, valves, etc.

The main quality indicators are drip point, penetration, ash content, and moisture content.

The indicators used to evaluate the colloidal stability of lubricating grease include oil separation test,

rolling bearing performance test, etc. The drum test is a test method for measuring the change in consistency under rolling action.

Liquidity test is a test method for evaluating the pumpability of lubricating grease at low temperatures.

The water resistance test is a test method for evaluating the resistance of lubricating grease to water washing out.

Colloidal stability refers to the ability of lubricating grease to maintain colloidal stability during storage and use,

preventing liquid mineral oil from precipitating from the grease.

Mechanical stability refers to the performance of lubricating grease in resisting changes in viscosity under mechanical working conditions.

Ball bearing torque test is a testing method for evaluating the low-temperature performance of lubricating grease.

Lubricating grease is a stable solid or semi-solid product composed of a thickener dispersed in a liquid lubricant,

in which additives and fillers aimed at improving certain characteristics of the grease can be added.

Lubricating grease can adhere to vertical surfaces at room temperature without loss,

and can work in open or poorly sealed friction areas, with a holding point that cannot be replaced by other lubricants.

Generally speaking, lubricating grease with the same soap base has better compatibility.

Organic clay base is incompatible with other bases. Therefore, lubricating grease, also known as butter,

is used as a lubricating material in many parts of automobiles and construction machinery!
